Educational Aspiration
The Educational Aspirations team aims to support and encourage young people to fulfil their educational potential and develop their life chances, through:
Community Learning Advice Service helping local people in the Shankill community get back into learning in a way that is relevant to their lives. We can work with individuals to identify their interests in terms of work, education and/ or training programmes and present them with available options.
We will also provide advice and support about any potential barriers to getting on a course e.g. concerns on admissions criteria, enrolment, financial issues, childcare issues etc
How can this service be accessed? - Anyone from the Shankill area who is interested in learning or training can access this service. To find out more contact Tracey Seawright or David Crawford.
Working with pupils at the Belfast Boys Model School and Belfast Model School for Girls , our Key Stage 3 Careers Advisors provide early access to careers advice for young people and work with them on a one-to-one basis to develop their own personal career pathways. We also develop and promote a number of innovative careers events that are specifically designed for Key Stage 3 pupils.
