Belfast iTours Project in the Shankill

belfastitoursThe iTours project provides podcast style guides to Belfast; simply download the video files from the website to your phone or portable media player, buy a memory card pre-loaded with the tours, or hire an MP4 player from the Belfast welcome centre; and you have your own personal guided tour of Belfast!

Tourism in Northern Ireland has blossomed to over 9,000,000 visitors per year, with around 56% of visitors here for the first time.  The iTours project will guide visitors around every part of the city; the tours are colour coded into 6 sections which are: City Centre, East Belfast, North Belfast, Shankill Road, South Belfast & West Belfast.

There are over 100 main points of interest and attractions covered throughout the city; which are explained using a mixture of videos, animation, photographs and interviews.

The Shankill Road section of the iTour contains 9 main attractions, including the Peace Wall, St. Matthew's Church, Shankill Graveyard, The Murals of the Shankill and the Spectrum Centre.  At the Spectrum Centre, the Shankill Information and Craft Centre acts as an MP4 Player Pick-up Point and a Repowering point when your battery is running low.
